Biography

Brian Hendrickson is a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Writing and Writing GA for the Anderson School of Management. His dissertation is a two-year ethnographic study of the rhetorical work of an engineering student organization in their efforts to implement a water quality project in Bolivia. By employing both activity theory and actor-network theory, Brian’s research examines obstacles and opportunities in the cocurriculum for developing students’ rhetorical efficacy. Brian has over nine years of experience teaching and tutoring writing at various colleges and universities. His major areas of interest include writing across the curriculum and in the disciplines, writing program administration, and organizational rhetorics.
