Although it is certainly true that the English Department is a part of every alumnus and alumna who graduates from this program, it is important to remember that all of our alumni/ae are an inseparable part of who the English Department is, too. Whether they graduated in the early 20th century or the early 21st, every one of our graduates leaves an impression on the department, a reflection of their time here, their ways of understanding language, literature, and the world that surrounds us.
