Biography

I am a PhD student in the Rhetoric and Writing Program. I hold a MA from CUNY - The City College of New York in Language and Literacy. I also hold a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing from City College. I have taught first-year composition at The City College of New York in New York City. I have also taught basic writing and first-year composition at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey.

I am a native to NYC, specifically Brooklyn where I was born and raised. I am a product of the NYC public school system. I grew up in a Spanish-speaking household where I had to learn English at school. Growing up in this household, I developed a love for language and literacy.
