Biography

David K. Dunaway has been teaching biography and other professional writing courses at UNM since he received The first Ph.D. in American Studies at the University of California Berkeley in 1981. Dunaway published Huxley in Hollywood in 1989 (Harper/Bloomsbury) and Aldous Huxley Recollected (Carroll & Graf, Sage) in 1995. His award-winning national radio documentary series--such as Writing the Southwest, Aldous Huxley’s Brave New Worlds, and Across The Tracks: A Route 66 Story--have been broadcast on National Public Radio and internationally on hundreds of stations. His speciality is producing documentaries presenting literature and history to a wide public audience. Dunaway is the author and editor of ten volumes and has taught internationally in Denmark and England and as a Fulbright Scholar in Colombia and Kenya.
