Below you will find a description of each field and group of fields in the News Submission - Blog Story form. Please read these instructions carefully before proceeding to the electronic form to submit your story for the English Department Blog.

Please provide your name and e-mail address in the open fields.
Story Information
Please provide a title for your post in the Story Title field and a short (200-500 word) news story in the Story Text field. You will be listed as the author of the piece on the blog. Also, please note that the Story Text field supports rich formatting (italics, boldface, font color, etc.), but the Story Title field does not.
Image
Please upload an image to accompany your story. This image is required, since blog stories are featured on the slideshow on the front page of the department website. The image will also appear with the story on the department blog. The image should be high-resolution and at least 900 pixels wide and 450 pixels high (although larger files will be accepted). Files must also be no more than 500 kb in size.
If you are using an image which does not belong to you, please secure permission before submitting the image to the English department. Note the image creator and copyright status (all rights reserved, creative commons, etc.) in the Image Notes field. The English Department will always seek to provide attribution for the images used.
