Biography

Anja Sanchez is a local of rural Northern New Mexico. She is an MA English graduate who concentrated in Medieval Studies. Along with her MA in Medieval Studies, she graduated from UNM with a BA and Majors in English and Psychology. Her interests are focused on the topics of gender, sexuality, and multicultural impacts; as well as combining her love of Chicanx Literature and folklore with Medieval Studies. Her research was focused on identifying the lasting effects of colonization that left medieval ideologies and practices in rural communities like Northern New Mexico.
