Biography

Scarlett Higgins teaches classes in contemporary American literature and film, including Postmodernism, Contemporary Literature, The Culture of the Cold War, Avant Garde in America, Contemporary Literature and Gender, and Introduction to Film Analysis. She has published articles in The Langston Hughes Review, The Review of Contemporary Fiction, and Arizona Quarterly. A chapter in the edited volume Ablaze with Lyric Fire (Ashgate) was published in 2014 and one in The Critical Experience (Kendall/Hunt) is forthcoming. She is currently working on a manuscript entitled The Persistence of Vision: Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Collage.
