PhD Student in Medieval Studies, Cody West presented his paper, “The Conversion of Kent: Religio-Political Incentive and International Diplomacy” in Canterbury, UK for the 2024 Medieval and Early Modern Studies Festival, which was a celebration of research in the Medieval and Early Modern periods at the University of Kent. West’s paper explores the motivations behind the first Germanic king to convert to Christianity, Aethelberht of Kent.
