Associate Professor Organizes Speaker Series

Marissa Greenberg, Associate Professor of British and Irish l has organized a four-part series on Shakespeare and Social Justice to coincide with her fall 2024 graduate course of the same name. Open to all UNM faculty, staff, and students, this series features academics and artists who are using Shakespeare to advance a variety of social justice-oriented issues, including confronting the colonial histories of the US-Mexico borderlands, promoting reform of and education in US prisons, and raising awareness of climate change and its impact in our region. This series is made possible by generous funding from the Center for Regional Studies, Department of English, and Teach Like a Feminist, a Center for Teaching and Learning-sponsored initiative begun by Marissa Greenberg and Belinda Deneen Wallace in 2022.
