Ian McLaughlin (MA MLIS) published a paper titled, “Giving Wands Their Due: Harry Potter, Speculative Realism, and the Power of Objects,” in Fafnir – Nordic Journal of Science Fiction and Fantasy Research. The foundations of this paper were laid in Sheri Karmiol’s Harry Potter and Philosophy class at UNM Honor’s College in the Spring semester of 2016.
