Drs. Anita Obermeier, Professor of Medieval Studies, and Doaa Omran, Alumna of Medieval Studies and current Instructor in the Department, organized a session titled, “Uppity Medieval Women across the Globe” for the Annual Meeting of the Medieval Association of the Pacific in April at the University of Oregon.
Anita Obermeier chaired the session, and Doaa Omran presented her paper, “Beyond Exceptionalism: A Case Study of Muslim Women Heroism in the Medieval Sīra of the Princess of High Resolve.”
