Lisa Myers, Lecturer in Medieval Studies, recently published her article “Laʒamon’s Giants of Albion: The Anxiety of Erasure in Post-Conquest England” in Medieval Perspectives. In this article, Dr. Myers examines the mythic settlement narrative relayed by Laʒamon in his Brut, including the defeat of the aboriginal giants and alterations to the landscape of Britain, as representative of English social and cultural concerns following the Norman Conquest.
