Congratulations to Core Writing Award Winners

The Core Writing Teaching Awards recognize and reward outstanding teachers of First Year Composition and English 2120 and 2210. We know that we have excellent teachers who are dedicated to their students’ success, and these awards give the department a chance to formally and publicly acknowledge their work. They also give teachers the chance to earn extra money and add valuable lines to their CVs. Each spring the English Department requests nominations and submissions for these awards and winners are announced during the English Convocation.

The 2021-2022 Awardees are:

Emily Graves for Best 1120 Sequence

Amanda Kooser for Best 2120 Sequence

Misty Thomas for Best 2210 Sequence

Kalila Bohsali for Outstanding Core Writing Instructor

Leo Williams for Outstanding New Writing Instructor

Sarah Worland for Outstanding Peer Mentor

Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Core Writing Awardees, and our thanks for the great work!
