The Core Writing Teaching Awards recognize and reward outstanding teachers of First Year Composition and English 2120 and 2210. We know that we have excellent teachers who are dedicated to their students’ success, and these awards give the department a chance to formally and publicly acknowledge their work. They also give teachers the chance to earn extra money and add valuable lines to their CVs. Each spring the English Department requests nominations and submissions for these awards and winners are announced during the English Convocation.
