Alumnae Megan Malcom-Morgan (MA English, 2016) and Ana June (MFA Creative Writing, 2017)—formerly office mates in grad school—are working together on a retrospective of Judy Chicago’s 1972 art installation, “Womanhouse.” Wo/Manhouse 2022 will be developed by a consortium of NM artists and installed in a mid-century home in Belen. The exhibition, which will include skits, opens on June 18th and runs through September. Malcom-Morgan is Executive Director of Through the Flower Artspace in Belen, and June is an Assistant Professor of English at UNM-Valencia as well as social media lead for Womanhouse 2022. NPR will be broadcasting live from Womanhouse 2022 during the first week of the exhibition and a New York Times article is forthcoming.
