English Students Publish in Conceptions Southwest

The 2020-2021 issue of Conceptions Southwest showcases the wide range of undergraduate and graduate writing talent of students in the English Department.

Our undergardautes had five pieces published: 

Alex Dickey, “Nuevo”, which won the CSW Award for Poetry

Michael Johnson, “Dinner Where I Live”

Blake Moore, “Bottles”

Lily O’Connor, ” A Crumbling Foundation”

Zoe Perls, “Notes on the Rain (We Must Praise Higher)”.

English graduate students were also well represented:

Amanda Kooser published the poem, “Damn Europe,” and Kennia Lopez published two poems, “What I Meant When I Said We Were Seeds,” and “Petra Meaning Rock.”

Jennifer Tubbs published a work of Creative Nonfiction entitled, “Genealogy” and, AJ Odasso published “An Unpretty Prequel: Lessons on Life and Literacy,” also a work of Creative Nonfiction.
