Alumnus and current Instructor within our English Department, Mario Montoya was recently interviewed for the webseries, Behind The Screen: Conversations with Cool People. New Mexico poet, Jimmy Santiago Baca recommended Montoya for the interview where he discusses his forthcoming memoir, “Numb: The Boy Who Couldn’t Feel.” Montoya also discusses his involvement in Hip Hop and his experiences with CIP (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain), a disorder he’s had since birth.
