We are very pleased to announce that Associate Professor of American Literary Studies, Kathryn Wichelns is the 2019 recipient of the Keleher/Telfair Hendon Award, an award that goes to junior professors for noteworthy contributions to the English Department. Dr. Wichelns published in 2018 her highly acclaimed monograph, Henry James’s Feminist Afterlives: Annie Fields, Emily Dickinson, Marguerite Duras (Palgrave), has a number of articles in the pipeline, and is working on her next book on a series of white feminist writers of the late-nineteenth-century. In addition to Wichelns’s outstanding research, The English Department would like to acknowledge with this award the consistently high quality of graduate mentorship she provides to our graduate students.
