MFA Student is Finalist for “Bloody” Poetry Book Contest

Over the summer, Tori Cárdenas’ poetry manuscript, “Lengua,” was selected as a 2019 Write Bloody Poetry Book Contest Finalist. Tori’s lyrical work focuses on language, culture, colonization, and the home as both physical structure and natural environment. Should their manuscript be selected by the judges, Tori’s manuscript will be edited, published, and promoted by Write Bloody in the next year. Finalists will be announced later this week, so stay posted for updates!
