Daniel “Scooter” Gatsch is the recipient of the 2019-20 Joseph C. Gallagher Scholarship for Study in Ireland. Gatsch is currently an MA student in Medieval Studies, and will spend his scholarship year in Ireland learning Old Irish in preparation for his PhD.
The Gallagher scholarship was established by a UNM alumnus (and student of Mary Power) in honor of her brother. Each year it provides an undergraduate or graduate student a full year’s tuition and living expenses so that they may study in Ireland.
