Julianne Newmark, Lecturer and Director of the English Department’s Technical and Professional Communication program, was awarded a Fulbright fellowship for the 2023-2024 academic year. Newmark’s Fulbright award (the Fulbright-Tampere University Scholar Award) is supported by the Fulbright Finland Foundation and Tampere University. While serving as a Fulbright scholar in Tampere, Finland, Newmark will work on completing her co-authored book, “UX+You: The Technical and Professional Communication Student’s Introduction to Usability and User Experience in the 21st Century” and will pursue a number of other research and teaching projects, while representing the United States and the international collaboration goals that are at the heart of the Fulbright program.
