Obermeier Publishes Article on Sir Dinadan and Humor Theory

Our current Department Chair, Anita Obermeier, recently published, “Maximum Humor: Sir Dinadan’s Post-Medieval Capers” in the 31st issue, entitled, Gwen to the Max: A Festschrift for Gwendolyn Morgan, of the journal,The Year’s Work in Medievalism. You can find the journal here.

Additionally, Anita Obermeier gave the following conference presentations:

In March, “Putative Transvestite Seducers in Medieval Literature,” at the Annual Meeting of the Medieval Association of the Pacific, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.

“Extreme Humor: The Post-Medieval Life of Sir Dinadan in the Anglo-American World,” at the conference of the International Society of Medievalism, University of Bamberg, Germany, last summer.

“Carolingian Queen Theutberga’s Fertility, Sterility, and Sodomitical Incest,” at the Annual Meeting of the Medieval Association of the Pacific, University of California, Davis, last spring.
