Biography

Jeslyn was born and raised in rural Oregon where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English Communications from Corban University in Salem Oregon in 2020. Her meaningful study abroad experiences in Costa Rica and Cuba led her to pursue a Master's degree in English Literature from James Madison University in Virginia with interests in American Hemispheric/transnational literature, African American/African Diasporic and Caribbean literature, and Post-Colonial/Decolonial studies. She is delighted to be working on her Ph.D. in American Literary Studies with UNM and is also a Teaching Assistant for the Core Writing Program.
