PhD: Updated Advice for Graduate Students in 2026,\u201d and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mla.confex.com\/mla\/2026\/Paper\/32189\">The Many Lives of David, the Dead Wetback: Social Death and Chicanx Literary Reanimation<\/a>\u00a0in the session on \u201cChicanx Literary Legalities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Feroza Jussawalla<\/strong>, Professor Emerita, presented \u201cFamily Dynamics in Mohja Kahf\u2019s Diaporic Arab American Family\u201d in the session on \u201cArab American Family Dynamics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carmen Nocentelli<\/strong>, Professor of British and Irish Literary Studies, presented\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mla.confex.com\/mla\/2026\/Paper\/30814\">Public Diplomacy and Political Opinion in Restoration England<\/a>\u00a0in the session on \u201cPolitical Imperatives: Answering to the Present Public Diplomacy.\u201d Also participated in the session \u201cGoing Global: Questions, Challenges, Opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Anita Obermeier<\/strong>, Professor of Medieval Studies, and\u00a0<strong>Ying Xu<\/strong>, Term Teacher, participated in the MLA Delegate Assembly as elected delegates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Doaa Omran<\/strong>, English Instructor and Alumna, presented in the session on \u201cAutomation, AI, and the Future of Contingent Teaching: What\u2019s Next?,\u201d and chaired the session on \u201cArab American Family Dynamics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Melina Vizcaino-Alem\u00e1n<\/strong>, Associate Professor of American Literary Studies, presented,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mla.confex.com\/mla\/2026\/Paper\/31648\">\u2018To Coronado\u2019s Children, My People\u2019: Fray Ang\u00e9lico Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s\u00a0<em>New Mexico Triptych<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in the session on \u201c\u2018We the People\u2019 in Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Mythology.\u201d She also participated in the session on \u201cGenealogies of Unapologetic Chicana Feminist Activism and
