New Mexico poet, Jimmy Santiago Baca recommended Montoya for the interview where he discusses his forthcoming memoir, &#8220;Numb: The Boy Who Couldn&#8217;t Feel.&#8221; Montoya also discusses his involvement in Hip Hop and his experiences with CIP (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain), a disorder he&#8217;s had since birth.
