{"id":2215,"date":"2020-06-18T13:08:57","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T19:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/english.unm.edu\/blog\/?p=2215"},"modified":"2020-06-22T07:54:30","modified_gmt":"2020-06-22T13:54:30","slug":"undergraduate-student-publishes-in-scribendi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/english.unm.edu\/blog\/blog\/2020\/06\/18\/undergraduate-student-publishes-in-scribendi\/","title":{"rendered":"Undergraduate Student Publishes in Scribendi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Congratulations to Erin Benton on the publication of &nbsp;&#8221; An Address on the Fragmentation of My Self&#8221; in&nbsp;<em>Scribendi.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Scribendi<\/em>&nbsp;is a nonprofit, annual print publication that publishes creative work from undergraduate Honors students from more than 200 institutions in the Western Regional Honors Council (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/wrhcouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">WRHC<\/a>). In 2016, we joined forces with the National Collegiate Honors Council (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nchchonors.org\/#home\" target=\"_blank\">NCHC<\/a>) to publish works from Honors students all across the nation, which brought the total number of institutions eligible to publish in&nbsp;<em>Scribendi<\/em>&nbsp;to 900.&nbsp;<em>Scribendi<\/em>&nbsp;is primarily produced by Honors students at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Honors College\u2014however, in 2016-2017 the magazine introduced its first exchange student, and&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/scribendi.unm.edu\/?p=3267\" target=\"_blank\">two more<\/a>&nbsp;for the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/scribendi.unm.edu\/?p=3274\" target=\"_blank\">2017-2018<\/a>&nbsp;school year.&nbsp;<em>Scribendi<\/em>&nbsp;solicits work in a number of different categories such as poetry, creative nonfiction, short fiction, foreign language, visual art, photography, and open media.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to Erin Benton on the publication of &nbsp;&#8221; An Address on the Fragmentation of My Self&#8221; in&nbsp;Scribendi. &#8220;Scribendi&nbsp;is a nonprofit, annual print publication that publishes creative work from undergraduate Honors students from more than 200 institutions in the Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC).
