Publications<\/h2>\n\u00a0Jussawalla and Weagel Publish Edited Volume<\/h3>\n
Synopsis: This volume was conceived as a space to provide visibility for South Asian women writers whose work has not had much exposure in the West. It contributes to the knowledge of South Asian women writers by including scholarship not only on little-known writers but also by scholars from India\u2014in particular, those whose voices do not necessarily find themselves in western academic publications. Many South Asian women writers engage with the overall quest for survival, which can be affiliated with all the themes expressed in this volume: trauma, diaspora, injustice, resistance, place, space, language, and identity. Greenberg Gives Two Presentations as a Part of First Folio Celebrations<\/h3>\n

<\/a>As part of the celebrations around the arrival to New Mexico of the First Folio of Shakespeare’s plays, Dr. Marissa Greenberg, Associate Professor of English, will be giving talks at two local venues. On Saturday, February 20, 1:00-4:00pm, is \u201cShakespeare in New Mexico and the West\u201d at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe, the\u00a0host site for the first Folio. In addition to offering a glimpse of the marvelous book itself, the event features Dr. Greenberg presenting on \u201cThe Very Large Shakespeare Array,\u201d which takes up Shakespeare and adaptation in a New Mexican context. On Wednesday, February 17, at 5:00-6:00pm, she will also be speaking at the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Main Library in downtown Albuquerque about the urban environments of Shakespeare\u2019s plays and their performance.<\/p>\n
