Her teaching focuses on positionality and creative expression in an equity-based collaborative space. The work her students presented (pictured) at the 2017 Celebration of Student Writing was a highly impactful way to bring to life Daisy Hernandez&#8217;s memoir,\u00a0<em>A Cup of Water Under My Bed<\/em>, as well as\u00a0incite dialogue around the themes her students were exploring. Many even got a chance to meet Daisy Hernandez, and some were able to share a meal with her!
