Associate Professor and Graduate Student Garner A&S Teaching Excellence Awards

Dr. Jonathan Davis-Secord has been awarded the College of Arts & Sciences Teaching Excellence Award for Tenured/Tenure-Track Faculty for the depth and sustained excellence of his teaching career, including the development of an impressive twelve distinct courses in his area of expertise, Old English Language and Literature.

PhD Student in Medieval Studies, Averie Basch has been awarded the College of Arts & Sciences Teaching Excellence Award for Graduate Teaching Assistants for her longstanding commitment to student engagement. Her use of creative assignments and flexible teaching strategies makes complex material more accessible, and encourages students to think critically and express themselves in new ways.
