We are welcoming fiction writing submissions from UNM students for our contest! Students need not be English majors but must be enrolled in or have completed at least one creative writing course at UNM. Interested students can submit one fiction writing piece as a pdf with a cover page containing name, address, phone, email, and piece title. Student’s name should not appear on any page of the fiction piece. The piece must be between 1,000 and 1,500 words and must not be previously published. It can either be a short story or excerpt from a novel. Only one submission is allowed per student.
The deadline for submissions is February 7, 2018
To be eligible, students must be enrolled at least part-time at UNM at the undergraduate or graduate level; have a minimum 3.0 GPA; and complete a thank you letter to the donor upon notification of the award.
