Harrison Publishes Article in Romantic Ecocriticism

Professor Gary Harrison’s “Toward a Romantic Poetics of Acknowledgment: Wordsworth, Clare and Aldo Leopold’s ‘Land Ethic’” has just been published in Romantic Ecocriticism: Origins and Legacies, edited by Dewey W. Hall, from Lexington Press. Harrison’s article is the second installment of a series of essays exploring the way environmentally-oriented poetry embodies an affective disposition toward the biotic community, invites us to acknowledge our relative position in the order of beings and things, and to act—or not to act—responsibly toward our interdependent others.
