Elizabeth Benedict is a graduate student with UNM’s English Department working towards an MA in Literature. Her research interests center on eighteenth/nineteenth century British and Irish Literature with a focus on female writers such as Charlotte Lennox, Maria Edgeworth, Sydney Owenson, Mary Shelley, and others. One of her current research projects bleeds into the Early Modern period, as she examines Margaret Cavendish’s Blazing World with an Eco-Feminist lens.
Elizabeth is also an instructor within UNM’s Core Writing Department where she teaches Technical and Professional Writing and First Year Composition. She is interested in integrating multi-modal theory and practice within the face-to-face classroom.
When she is not buried in classic pieces of literature, Elizabeth enjoys writing fiction, watching sci-fi movies and reruns of 30 Rock, as well as listening to new music.
